most of my experience with modding was pre-decentralized channels in /design and we added @automod it was really a challenge - even after automod bc there’s content that gets a lot of likes that is drivel, like “gm have a great day!” with an AI image so you’re stuck trying to decide, should i hide this or not? we also had ~12 mods in design at that time with diff POVs. we started sending casts into our group chat and asking, “hide or not?” and that sort of helped us refine the content we wanted to see then channels went decentralized and now it’s all about the Moderator. which is easier bc what mod says goes, goes i also sit w priority mode on which has really helped me enjoy the app again bc it’s much less noisy but i also worry a little that i’m missing real replies etc moderation is complex!

Was in a @farhouse space yesterday hosted by @pichi and she brought up some very good points about channels I was not aware of. Let's say a user is posting good content in a channel and a mod isn't actively liking the content, those casts are essentially wasted... as by default only the casts from PB holders are displayed in the feed. I also summized that there could also be a lot of gatekeeping, where posts are intentionally ignored by mods in order to boost casts by their friends. Her space was recorded , may want to check it out 100 $degen

I try to turn priority mode on and off a few times a day depending on how much time i have to use the app then lurk around farcaster to see what is really happening. Leaving it on priority mode is nice but you absolutely miss a lot of things on here.
