checking out Bluesky Authenticated Transfer Protocol has anyone spent time unpacking this yet? how does it compare to Farcaster Protocol? seems similar, but relies on DIDs and not pure crypto rails. takes? https://atproto.com/guides/overview

Only been on bluesky a few days, but one interesting thing I noticed was how they do federation: connect to a server that delivers you certain content, or the whole network. so half-mastodon half-twitter. whereas FC has equal peers that sync the entire state

I had the same question over the weekend and @molo pointed me to this great thread: https://warpcast.com/kc/0x1a3372

I haven't had a chance to dig into At Protocol much. I'm curious about the difference between Blue Sky and Nostr. Mastodon is similar since it's also federated but different since it's built on ActivityPub and doesn't use DIDs which I believe both Blue Sky and Nostr do

haven’t dove into the specifics but i thought it’s interesting that “follows” are also portable on AT protocol … realized this wasn’t the case with farcaster … https://i.imgur.com/0pCBZSV.jpg
