- Met them briefly at a networking event - They backchanneled my previous work references also talked to my friends without me knowing - Offered me a job when they found out I was interviewing

I think the lines between friend/professional is mixed, the specific connection was YC and Thiel so everyone sort of knows everyone or is open to speaking to eachother. My friend is my friend, she asked me how much I wanted to be paid, and she told them the number I gave her. I can play the game too 😜

I had 3 other offers before they approached me and I had verbally accepted one. The company I accepted from didn’t send me a contract yet, so current co had time to take me to dinner and gave me a contract the next day The originally co still hadn’t put a contract in my hand, so I signed with my current co :)

No, they gave me the exact number that I told my friend 🤭 I was also very transparent with each co, and past 2 offers when you get 3-4 it’s less about the money and equity and more about the work 🤗
