Thought exercise: imagine you’re dead tomorrow. Your work friends will be utterly devastated. For a few weeks. Then they move on. Your family, partner, maybe a few friends will be devastated and will suffer your loss forever. Your internet friends might not even know what happened.

Really good question 🤔 💭 I think genuine human connections is what makes this fleeting experience on this floating rock in space worthwhile. People’s reaction is a measure of how connected we are to other humans.
