In an era of way too much derivative, rebooted, technically perfect TV, I find that what makes a show pop is very simple: The sheer love the creators have for the material. The Mandalorian started this fragile renaissance. Where there’s love, imagination follows. Mandalorian is universe extension but feels fresh.
