While it's great that the auto-follow list is no more, the damage has already been done in that any (off-the-shelf) influence-driven algorithm will heavily skew to favor accounts that were on that list.. unless proper adjustments have been made

this is the pattern in a certain kind of social media, the high signal / digital soho that eventually goes 'content/creator'

ie the clubhouse initial autofollow is where the accounts with millions of followers came from, those accts then got paid to boost rooms etc and it was a race to the bottom re content
