The latest obesity prevalence map for the USA https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/php/data-research/adult-obesity-prevalence-maps.html In 2023, all U.S. states and territories had an obesity prevalence higher than 20% (more than 1 in 5 adults). Overall, the Midwest (36.0%) and South (34.7%) had the highest prevalence of obesity, followed the West (29.1%) and the Northeast (28.6%).

I mean, not really.... looking at the linked table they barely keep that green color with a 24.9% prevalence which is almost 1 in 4! There may be an altitude association! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7285248/#:~:text=The%20current%20study%20employed%20an,County%20by%20County%20%5B14%5D.
