in consumer, crypto inherently cannot capture like 99% of the tam—and to build for the 99 is to neglect the 1 the problem is, in crypto, in order to even have a chance at the 99, you need the 1 it doesn’t matter how much you abstract; this is the nature of tokens

this is largely true, but coinbase makes most of its money from price insensitive whale retail traders who are much later to stuff, e.g. xrp

this was the initial blur thesis, right? get the heavy traders, the rest will follow. After all, theses did not entirely play out - blur dominates volumes but opensea still dominates marketplace fees, although they might not have the 1% at the moment.
