Dogs do require structure. I'd go so far as to say if your kids are running around screaming at strangers and biting them, they probably need some structure & discipline too. Basically anyone screaming at strangers and biting ppl should probably be taught about healthy boundaries and social behavior.

not sure about training like a marine, but the first sentence is absolutely true. Seeing people opt out for dogs as kind of a subconscious "replacement" for having a child feels off. Agree, dogs are companions, not your children or their replacement
