bad take? fc was bootstrapped by base (namely cb & ex-cb folks), op ppl & a subset of early adopters, predominantly native onchain builders who were interested in the tech it experienced its first big onboarding event at the interjection of base improvements & increased adoption, the introduction of frames & the rise of $degen those who got in on degen early, made a bunch of money & stayed, but are now exhausted by bad g(dau) those who were interested in frames, were likely the same folks who were early fc adopters & thus had little impact on daus those who were interested in base, were likely interested in profits & so either: -churned when base memes starting popping up on x & engagement/liquidity flatlined on fc -got burned on a newer fc meme & churned -or, stuck around to end up in $higher & others, like $ham/gaias—tho these projects are now looking at channel & chain alternatives as well so as ai interest churns, fc increasingly needs base & higher, but they become less dependent on fc

at some point fc needs to be additive to base eco & projects building on fc, but if fc can’t produce dau growth, the projects building here will go elsewhere right now fc is propped up by base, higher and degen & without the collective exposure of these projects, fc would be in a much worse spot today in other words, its more than 2 years in(?) & it’s now time for fc to acquire new users & figure out how to retrain them or they run the risk of other builders passing up on building here

Absolutely based thread and take Great summary and very aligned with how I've seen everything play out as well. Have been a strong believe the success of FC is directly correlated to the number of FC-native tokens that are launched and boostrapped by the community here 1000 $DEGEN

it feels like an experimental hub here for sure, but at any moment that one thing truly ‘sticks’ I think the whole network could explode. maybe I am wrong, but for example, I am enjoying these social games right now - where else can I play those like this?

To be a bit blunt, I'm still here because I've made more money here messing around and building mini games than I ever have anywhere else. That and I'm making some super interesting connections (like you sir). I don't trade memes at all, so I have no input on that aspect :P
