Outside of art, not sure what the point of collecting an NFT is.

I've talked about this privately with a bunch of people but surprised it's not discussed more publicly.

should note that an nft you receive as a receipt of doing something else (buying a ticket, subscribing to something, etc...) makes more sense. talking about going to an nft page and hitting "collect" or "mint"

both of what you described is provenance proof of issuer + recipient

provenance makes sense—an alternative to the provenance provided by the state, large social media companies, etc.
