Is it possible to build a wallet where I can just keep my assets and have it automatically accrue interest for you while your assets sit there. Kinda like how coinbase automatically gives you 4.7% APY for keeping USDC sitting in your account. Personally managing all my assets in the Defi world is scary. I will go lend and sometimes and I'm scared I will forget my assets sitting on some other protocol. Though most cases they give back some asset in return for you to remember.

possible, yes. but 4.7% on cb is the absolute bottom rate you should expect. you can get (close to) bottom rate on ETH by holding cbETH or stETH. for higher yield that is typically in defi or on niche assets, it's a lot more involved (essentially the wallet provider becomes a fund manager)

I think argent wallet on mobile allows you to zap into certain types of yield bearing ops via yearn or lido but it’s only available for eth mainnet and starknet

why would you forget? When you connect your wallet to zapper / zerion / debank etc .. it will show you all your onchain activity across all layers.

Would it make it easier if you had to deposit into one defi protocol which tries to optimize the yield for you instead of juggling multiple protocols.

I think @pooltogether did a similar implementation in the past, except due to the way it works rather than APY you get drawn into a join pool. It's common in some parts of the world, so could be interesting for people scared of risk in defi!
