I would absolutely choose the Tesla if it was our only car. But we have a gas SUV for kid hauling and long trips. So I can think less about range and network.

Supercharger network and car as a computer features are what keep me on Tesla camp.

I'd love to try a German luxury EV but only if I can use a charging network comparable to Supercharger and the car has the app features that Tesla has. I would love to use Google Maps.

I do enjoy driving but not in traffic. I haven't figured out how the smart cruise and autosteering compare yet.

To me the question has always been do you enjoy driving. If Yes, not Tesla. If No, Tesla.

Which one do you still turn around to look at after you park?

My past luck with German cars hasn't been great: VW GTI, BMW M3. Stuff just kept breaking
My Model 3 is coming up on 4 years and still feels like a new-ish car.  It keeps getting upgraded features.
I will admit at first it wasn't great but they fixed a lot of bugs (hw & sw) over the years
