SCOOP by @ryangrim, @mazmhussain and me: Meta has been letting Israel manipulate its platform and conduct what can only be described as a massive data poisoning attack. Israel sends fraudulent takedown requests, Meta removes them, trains its AI on that, and makes Pro-Palestine speech or criticism of Israel impossible in perpetuity. Great reporting!! 👏👏👏 I’ve known about this for a while from someone I know who worked at Meta. I’ve been posting about Palestine consistently on my IG stories, and when the takedowns started, he shared some tricks on how to avoid getting permanently banned for sharing it, though none of it probably even helps anymore. Also, from what I know, if you get banned for speaking about the genocide and war crimes the state of Israel is committing, it’s impossible to get your account back because of Meta’s internal policy. (For comparison, I was banned before for posting about russian war crimes in Ukraine and it said it was permanent and I had no option to appeal, but it turned out to be possible to get my page back).
