Meh. He was the best option available. Good to have Trudeau out and even better to have Poilievre lose traction

For right now, he's Prime Minister elect.

He'll take Justin Trudeau's place until the next federal election. We're not quite sure when that will be, but then Carney and the Liberal Party will need to win the majority of seats in Parliament. If they do, he'll be officially the Prime Minister.

How? Did he win? Is he thw new 1st minister?
