Aspargus season had officially begun 😋

This is year 5 and will be our 2nd year harvesting. We waited 3 years before our first harvesting to allow our plants to get a good root and underground system set up.

How old are they? I put in a bunch last year hopefully I’ll get to harvest like one meal worth 😅

Apparently my waifu went to the /allotment at 7:30AM this meowning, and harvested some of our asparagus (I was asleep after working 'til 3AM last night and had no idea!)

I processed and cooked them for dinner this evening.

No chemicals, 0 km carbon footprint, and 0 days from harvest to stomach.

... and dat is why we grow. 🤝
