What if purpose does not need to be found but cultivated? Would it change your perspective? If so (or not), why?

my experience as a general creative is that purpose 100% needs to be cultivated. ive spent the last 15 years of my life working on it haha

how do you cultivate it as an artist? share some wisdom. isn’t life but a journey to master the art of living?

6) Once you are there, its sort of a trial and error process to figure out how to offer that to the world in a way that it will accept it haha

To expand a bit on what I found so far: Purpose = pursuing a meaningful goal whose accomplishment will benefit someone else. Have you seen Ben Horowitz’ commencement speech on not pursuing your passion but your contribution? It sums up what the cultivation part is all about.

thanks for sharing! I like the interlinking of identity and purpose (you are a Jung fan, indeed 😂). Also, the itterative approach resonates a lot with me. Looking at the literature, I also have to agree with the point that your purpose lays with pursuing some else’s benefit, as paradoxical it may sound.
