I am sorry to be the one to break it to you, but if you do not believe that profit = common good, you are either an arrogant brat, a socialist or, most probably, both.

The GenZ Trilemma They want... ... the security of a civil servant, ... the salary of an executive in a fast-growing company, ... the fulfilment of being in a non-profit - and all from one employer! 😅

What if purpose does not need to be found but cultivated? Would it change your perspective? If so (or not), why?

In principle, every minute you think about something you will not execute on, you are reducing your [[efficiency]] and [[effectiveness]]. But how can you know what is the chain of thought you are most likely to execute on?

my preliminary conclusion from the conversation between Bryan Johnson and @antonio on MoZ: transhumanism is techno-buddhism.

The meaning crisis is real. This is an opportunity for businesses and a business opportunity. It is an opportunity for businesses to proof they generate social value. It is a business opportunity since cosumer demand will shift to products that provide value beyond superficial social and economic utility.

You know what's really annoying about bull markets? Y’all start talking about the next hot mint, transaction flows, architecture, etc. i.e., shit no (distributionally) normal person cares about, not even remotely.

Here is the longest thread I have ever written. It’s a tale about ideological capture (see current Gemini saga), its root cause and how founders can guard themselves from being captured once they are successful: https://x.com/manastuerenberg/status/1761327491518525699?s=46

Have you noticed how ideologically captured institutions are, at the same time, the same pushing for regulatory capture? In their favour, of course … https://x.com/manastuerenberg/status/1760639250196791321?s=46

you either have a clear sense of purpose, and are able to make AI serve you, or you will become the servant. https://x.com/realgeorgehotz/status/1760603918839542117?s=46

And when I am short on focus, I know I am being distracted from my purpose. Purpose needs to be managed and cultivated. If managed correctly, it serves as a great filter for attention.

my take as a Latino who is an entrepreneur and moved to Germany when young, who also happened to be a sociologist: Europe favours upward mobility up to upper-middle class. The US favours the mobility to the economic upper class, although more from the upper-middle class than from the bottom but still more than Europe.
