Never used any of those terms when I first mentioned fc to friends.

I’d usually describe it as a new social platform where your friends stay connected with you, no matter which platform you move to. It’s small, but the people who use it are really into it, and it creates this amazing space to connect, share, and build something meaningful together.

Only later do I dive into the details—how it’s decentralised or about the cool stuff like AI agents, NFTs, tokens, and all that.

Wish I had a better phrasing to suggest, but the focus is always on the people, not the tech—that’s what matters most.

BYOF (bring your own followers) is the biggest selling point of a decentralized social protocol like fc imo & it will be interesting to see how things change if the tha is no longer the leading narrative.

BYOF is an especially big deal for creators & brands whose biz hinges on their audience

doing the right thing.
working hard.
being optimistic.
putting the team over the individual.
pushing boundaries with creativity.
