A very disappointing aspect of the crypto community, for me, is a casual lack of empathy or fairness. Most are flagrantly shilling infra, memecoins & other unsustainable ponzis, without nary an acknowledgement of the reality that >90% people will lose a lot of money, enriching only the 1%. Others are afraid to speak up

The issue with bootstrapping tech with speculation, is that the demand for the casion later is extremely sticky and addictive. Getting rid of this behavior is really, really hard.
Laser eyes had a purpose 5-7 years ago to bootsrap usage, now it is just zero sum games.
