It's intriguing that the only form of communism that ever worked was the kibbutzim, and then only for a few decades (though apparently they're coming back).

I started my career in a private equity that bought 50% stake in Kibbutzim factories. Spent a lot of time in many. They had amazing innovation (they led the 70s-00s Israel tech sector, today considered low tech). But all failed management wise and eventually most of them crumbled under the weight of collectivism

They used to have the best 🧠in Israel (that today instead go and work on tech). That allowed them to innovate on another level. But eventually, the collaborative system was broken and never survived more than a few decades
