People are too lazy to do 2 TXs, plus with Uniswap, you grant a single-time and then you only do message signing with no TX ever. Also, auto-revoke would need your PK, a good wallet doesn't keep your PK unencrypted in memory for long. But yeah most people who don't want to do unlimited allowances, just do limited ones before the transaction. I only allow unlimited spending for like 1-2 contracts that I really trust, which if they are compromised then it would be a horror scenario for the whole ecosystem not just for me.
