Yep. Domestic movie industry creates a large trade surplus so this move may end up resulting in something that runs counter to his wider trade policy goals.

I'm not an expert. But they're a product like everything else. They need distributors inside the US and can be tariffed accordingly.

But I think they'd have a lot more loopholes than purely physical products.

What's funny is that US exports a lot more in movies than imports so any retaliatory tariff would hurt soo much more than the previous retaliatory tariffs (plus the loss of cultural influence)
