Wait wait wait...Elon says the compensation for "ultra high IQ" people being hired by him and Vivek to work at DOGE 80+ hours a week is 0? Wtf? One of you is worth around $1 billion and the other one is worth around $300 billion. You could pay some smart people to work extra long hours for the 18 months required with your pocket change. Insane.

I would think that smart people don't want to work for an ultra rich billionaire who's primary wealth was built on apartheid, who was fired from zip2, fired from paypal, forced his way into tesla and then sued the original founders out of the company so we could claim founders rights, forced employees to return to work or risk their jobs during a global pandemic. I know I'm not applying lol.

To play devil's advocate, I don't think there's any evidence to show he made wealth from apartheid. Elon founded Zip2 with his brother and one other guy then eventually sold it. He was working in the USA illegally for the first few years of the company though, and that makes him a huge hypocrite in regards to illegal immigration. He did get pushed out of PayPal cause he's an asshole and then was very hostile as Tesla grew. I'm not sure any of this prevents smart people from working for him though as plenty already do.
