If you assume that there will be infinite web3 social networks and our social graphs and attention fracture across dozens or hundreds of them, what is the end game? An aggregator? I'm just not sure how even as a user I manage all of these social graphs/networks unless they are hyper specialized.

you wont experience or use singular platforms for each social network you’re a participant in. instead, you’ll use platforms at the intersection of a few social networks and for specific purposes (e.g. news, interest, personal)

Given the hyper specialization (which I believe in), can't help but think that becoming the protocol that owns the social graph = backend will be veeeery valuable. Will fc/lens/deso/... discuss with one another, or will we see a race for the most adopted social graph?

Some products will piggyback off an existing graph, some will create new graphs from scratch, but I suspect most will compose new graphs from existing graphs. To the end user, it could be similar to how we interact with social products today β€” instead of bootstrapping from address book, from another graph

In the long run, Network States might be the end form. After many iterations on social networks, we might be able to align enough on a certain moral premise to start extrapolating positive actions out of these communities. As a user, you have chose which communities you are a part of, enabled by digital passports.

No aggregation, each social graph is specific to a use case. Your family and friends is one address book, your hobbies and work another, and many many more, so imho we might we proliferation of open end graphs with similar experience to that of importing your address book or fb friends but when u govern and own access

There are already infinite web2 social networks - you choose how to spend time on them. Imo in web3 it won't be much different: - one or more source of social graphs (Lens, FC, other) - one or more clients built atop them, possibly specializing in niches - you choose how to invest your time across these clients

Strongly believe in aggregation here (hence building @yup ), like texts dot come or Zerion, lots of hidden use-cases to aggregation: search, cross posting, unified notifs, more robust profiles

This is an important question. I think profiles will be interoperable. All your content and information will be nfts. Wallet sign in will make experience seamless when switching between networks.

FriendFeed (aggregator) did this well for web2 social networks and other apps. Something like that specialized for web3-focused networks may work well.
