random thoughts on onchain content: 1. for most people with taste (including artists, creators, etc), its actually demotivating and not compelling when they see bad content earn more money onchain than good content; obviously bad/good is subjective, but a turnoff nonetheless 2. most of the major onchain “curators” (i.e. people who can move markets to drive earnings for creators) are people with influence but not necessarily with taste; obviously not true for all onchain content models, but true for most “viral” pieces of onchain content and memes whoever solves this wins

this is true for nearly all social platforms though tbh. seeing influencers make it big by making the most brain rot content ever is pretty demotivating. Instagram, TikTok etc, are wastelands, yet that’s where the network effects are. All the while talented artists, musicians, designers struggle to build an audience and make enough to pay rent

tbh even influencing is not the most optimal form of value extraction now ppl be making ai content farms and automatic clipping machines, practically printing millions dead internet in action – though i think it’s approaching a breaking point in a few years
