It takes about 30m to make a slide deck not look horrible but if I see someone put significant money/design time (effectively equivalent) into making a deck I’m going to feel more sus bc time & money are the most valuable things to a startup & they just demonstrated wasting both

I’ll also invert this — if an investor is being swayed by the aesthetics of the deck, and not by the raw ideas, product and talent assembled in the pitch, I wouldn’t want them as an investor.
