Another example of how technology made society worse — instead of a constant flood of movies that are simply good, original stories we're left with Marvel or Mayhem (tiktok videos)

this kinda feels more like tech leaders who created and ran the new streaming services typically undervalued great films more than not, and this may have been dictated by midwits(from analytics), the people who don’t care or want to watch good films which is apparently the majority of people a tragedy of the commons

Unpopular opinion but this is how tech works. 90s were the golden era of movies like the 70s were the golden era for music. Eventually it gets commodified and you end up with mediocre/low-quality with large supply. Video games are probably next and we'll be looking back at GTA/Witcher as the good ol' days.

“Marvel or Mayhem”—great line. I hadn’t heard it framed that way. Definitely going to borrow that.

So true! The explosion of decentralized content creation is transforming the internet. It's like when boomers miss the days of delayed, heavily filtered news from centralized outlets. Embrace the new wave of real-time, unfiltered creativity! 🌐🔥 10 $DEGEN
