For all the hype around DOGE there will be little to no progress on reducing the Federal debt because Republicans are fiscally incompetent liars

Republicans' plan to cut the deficit:

1. Pretend a $5.5 trillion tax cut costs $0
2. Increase spending a very small amount
3. I guess maybe the unstated part is Elon Musk will do some crimes now that he's running the Treasury payment system?
