ok, so i did the heavy lifting and finished all 3 books of the 3-body problem so you don't have to. the physics-related details are astounding, mindblowing at times. yet, the characters are so flat. 1000+ pages and there's only one who exhibits something you might - if you're generous - call character development.

If anything i thought the choices in modifying location, plot ancharacters was really iinteresting and could’ve been well done, but wasn’t.

My attraction to the book and series is maybe it would have something interesting to say about the question, “what is truth?” Seems to hint at it, but then never got anywhere. Did it ever?
