How much staying power does the monthly subscription model for small design agencies/solo practitioners have? I’ve seen this model grow in popularity over the last few years (s/o /red) and think it’s a great way to secure stable MRR. What other experimental revenue models have you seen emerge? Who’s trying unique things (also s/o $opsys)?

im all ears. this is the most interesting topic for me right re solo business. where to leap. my guess is there’s an outsized amount of social media attention on a few highly successful, solo, subscription-based designers and unless you have a high-gdp, niche community it’s hard to maintain

Probably a really good guess and hypothesis. Part of why I’m curious how much success others have found with it and if it’s a passing trend. It’s compelling and easy to see how it scales, but def seems to require some high-trust, high-capital relationships, high-demand relationships to get off the ground.
