When we take the time to genuinely get to know someone, making them feel seen and valued, it can have a more empowering effect than many assume. By reflecting the good we see in a person and sharing what we admire about their unique life path, we can build people up. Just as people can tell when we judge them or don’t see them as equals, they also know when they are liked and appreciated for who they truly are.
