Been researching my next camera to buy. Would you mind sharing a few things about this camera that gives Leica a run for its money? Does better than Leica?

I have a bessa too, depends what's good. No official support since the company closed, but you can get it serviced. It's a bit more plastic but depending on the model, you can use leica lenses, it all depends on the lens in the end.

Thanks for this. Hadn’t heard of it before, so it piqued my interest. What lenses do you use that are compatible with Leica?

If you like rangefinder photography I’d highly recommend it. It’s all 2nd hand at this point since the company folded (the Voighlander name goes back to the 1700s when they made telescopes). Seen these go from $800 to $1200, which is a fraction of what a Leica costs. It’s lens interoperability is a huge +

My experience is different than @tulipe.eth’s. There’s no plastic in the r3a. It’s all metal (light, but a good handheld weight). To my knowledge, all Besa models have M mounts so any Leica lens from their M series of cameras will work on it. It’s viewfinder is also 1:1, whereas Leica M series are 0.85.
