Been researching my next camera to buy. Would you mind sharing a few things about this camera that gives Leica a run for its money? Does better than Leica?

I have a bessa too, depends what's good. No official support since the company closed, but you can get it serviced. It's a bit more plastic but depending on the model, you can use leica lenses, it all depends on the lens in the end.

Thanks for this. Hadn’t heard of it before, so it piqued my interest. What lenses do you use that are compatible with Leica?

My experience is different than @tulipe.eth’s. There’s no plastic in the r3a. It’s all metal (light, but a good handheld weight). To my knowledge, all Besa models have M mounts so any Leica lens from their M series of cameras will work on it. It’s viewfinder is also 1:1, whereas Leica M series are 0.85.

True but the older Bessa use LTM M39 lenses. Personally I have a Voigtländer 50mm 1.4, very fond of it. You have also a wide choice of Leica lenses in M39... Cheaper than the newer M but maybe less optically perfect.
