What are your favorite bookstores in LA and Brooklyn/NYC?

agreed with other's recommending vroman's and the last bookstore. if you're looking for art/architecture books i highly recommend hennessey & ingalls, and artbook (both in arts district), if you're looking for japanese books and periodicals there's no better place than kinokuniya (little tokyo).
