my fav bookstore in LA is a secret little spot called Sideshow Books. wild shelves full of books, run by one guy who knows where everything is and will make you an espresso while you browse. one of my favorite places in the city cc @ted

agreed with other's recommending vroman's and the last bookstore. if you're looking for art/architecture books i highly recommend hennessey & ingalls, and artbook (both in arts district), if you're looking for japanese books and periodicals there's no better place than kinokuniya (little tokyo).

+1 pickles and books! And also adding dear friends books in bedstuy (immaculate. i have no words: https://www.instagram.com/dearfriendbooks/) and molasses books in bushwick. both skew towards community centers that sell books, which is why i love them.

NYC: Strand and McNally Jackson are classics. Argosy if you’re interested in old or rare prints.

Williamsburg: Black Spring Books. It’s more of a social club than it is a bookstore. And isn’t that what you want in a bookstore? 10/10 vibes and people
