Great writing deserves to be shared, seen, and supported. But today’s internet makes that harder than it should be. We want to give writers a place where their ideas thrive — and today, we’re launching a new look and a new home at https://paragraph.com. Read more below ↓

Congrats on the relaunch. Paragraph has been a fun experiment for me. Lots of improvements still needed to catch up to beehiiv, but you’re on your way.

Thanks for the note, Humpty! Beehiiv is a great SaaS tool for sending out newsletters. But we're certainly not trying to compete with them. We're trying to find a way for writers to make money in new & novel ways. Don't get me wrong - "newsletter" functionality is really valuable. Growing an email list and sending new posts via email is super important for making readers aware of your writing and any form of monetizing. But we don't aspire to be a SaaS tool for sending newsletters.

Hmm, so what does paragraph aspire to be?

That's a tough one to answer in a short way, but I'd say something more like Medium, where we're a great home for writers that don't want to write full time. And more like Substack, where we help bring writers *and* readers together (this is different than Ghost/Beehiiv/ConvertKit/MailChimp, which only service writers as a SaaS product), with a focus on growing the ecosystem of readers & writers (north star metric here would be the number of great ideas being shared & their impact on the world), and the economy around those great ideas (north star is total commerce b/w readers & writers). Shooting from the hip here, so may be pretty convoluted, but sharing for what it's worth — would love to hear feedback, and if this is totally confusing and/or if any of it resonates.
