spent the weekend with my granddad, he is 85 now and got married at 25 he started the family in a poor, socialist country, in a depth of the cold war, with no real career prospects or financial security average 25 year old men these days are 10x better off and don’t even consider starting families feels backwards

i feel this i’m definitely pro starting the family early, but the combo of: - fomo on the right person - fomo on the right place in the world - feeling like i need to make it before a serious relationship puts me quite far from being married despite being the same age when my granddad did

How can you ever know the right person, sigh. Point 3 emphasizes my point more honestly, hear me out: Assuming you’re actually pretty comfortable but societal pressure would have you feeling like you haven’t made it.
