I am inlove with K8s for everything :D so for the selfhosted I usually setup an adequatly powerful server then just plug microK8s into it as its not very ressource hungry and deploy my basic k8s infra + the app to run monitoring and CI/CD ("GitOps") of Kubernetes is a dream imo
