Farcaster should have (near-)unlimited length messages like twitter. Having used it for a while, I feel like twitter's long message feature improves its user experience and its usefulness for high quality discussion.

I attached a 30MB video to one of my casts yesterday. I don't think a little bit of extra text on casts is going to be the thing that makes a dent in storage costs.

What have I done itβ€˜s so disappointing idk, what speaks against long text on the protocol? That it messes with the storage calculations etc right?

I think it would need to appear inline just like regular casts, but the data itself could be stored outside of hubs just like with media. Having it appear as a link to an external location would be kind of annoying.
