There's a concept called "WEIRD bias" in psychology and social science: we make broad claims about human behavior based on experiments conducted on Western, educated, industrialized, rich, democratic subjects. I think most developers are weird, too. In what ways is the average developer different from most users?

It's true, but it makes sense usualy - that cohort correlates with disposable income
