I watched Barbie for the first time last night and I don’t know what to think… and I like to think!  What were people’s reaction to the movie?

I love your assessments in there. To me it was a parody of feminism and it burnt the real thing in the process. Not a fan at all.

I think it depends on where you are on the 'feminist' journey. e.g I thought the monologue was obvious & overdone, whereas I've seen other women who found it hugely impactful & cried! For me the first half was fun & more subtle then it went off the rails.
