I don't think it says much about structural changes in the world. Things just have a tendency to move from theory to practice over time. You see this in many scientific field, first a theoretical idea appears, then it goes into an applied phase, then things move to smthg entirely different.

Why on earth do you want to discourage hyperfinancialization? Why do you want to engage in social shaming? Crypto is about all financial freedom, what are you doing in crypto in the first place?

Thing is, it's not so easy to prevent farming. I think it could be interesting to have allowance burnt into a reputation token to be tipped. The reputation token could give rights to airdrops and/or some other perks. This way Degen itself would have no sell pressure. It's vital to support Degen price as else the whole ecosystem might spiral down to zero.

The obvious advantage is to eliminate completely farmers of Degen and supply inflation. Since the whole ecosystem is built on Degen it is vital to support price. If Degen goes down L3 memecoins, Drakula artists, anything denominated in Degen goes into downward spiral

Half baked idea @jacek: - Introduce a reputation token (REP). REP can only be minted by burning Degen. - Degen allowances can only be tipped in the form of REP minted from burnt allowance. - Utility of REP could be to receive airdrops from any project based on Degen (that's just an example, more ideas could exist)

Don't we need better communication on $DEGEN? For example, tips are only 10% of total supply per year. If outsiders knew this, they might be less spooked by FDV.
