This is one reason I am also trying to leave twitter

I've been noticing an influx of paid pro-AfD ads on my feed on this platform as we approach Sunday's German elections.

Anyone else seeing this? Are there guidelines in Germany regarding political ads on social media? Or is it all fair game?

it is extremely distasteful and disappointing for me to see, honestly. And  I don't like the EU over-regulating so many things, but a social media platform with an arguable monopoly SHOULD be regulated to not actively steer public discussion through a biased algorithm.

Doing exactly what he was opposed against before his purchase of Twitter

Not only do we need to leave Twitter we need to provide tooling to reduce everyone’s digital footprint there and increase it in places that are durable, transparent, and secure.
