dictators don't start wars to win them

they start wars to divert larger portion of wealth towards the most corrupt part of govmnt — military — so that their cronies can enrich themselves more

Obviously the military industrial complex never saw a war it didn’t like. Wealth isn’t necessarily a zero sum game though, especially when global trade is involved.

I’m more concerned about how Russia emerges after this war ends/stalls. All the WW2 relics are being cleared out and they’ll be war-ready…
