Une Ukraine "européenne" ne peut être acceptée par la Russie. Une Ukraine russe ne peut être acceptée par les USA. Seule une Ukraine libre et indépendante amènera la paix. L'Europe n'a pas son mot à dire tant elle est sous domination US qui la veut sans armée propre.

One can only speculate about him and his mindset, but I think he'd lose in a Biggest Ego competition with Putin (or Trump for that matter). As for outcomes, you omitted Ukraine winning. A peace deal is optimal, but it needs to be fair and sustainable.
