What really bugs me is Elon should know this stuff is false. But he spreads it anyway. It’s not ignorance, it’s pure bad faith. He’s truly a horrible person.

Maybe he does have a blind spot or two as does everyone (i know thats being a bit trite).
I always like to frame these things as 'either person X (no pun intended) is a bad faith actor or is very stupid, take your pick' either way they lose.

In general I agree with you. In this case, while I know Musk is not nearly as intelligent as his fans think he is, I don’t honestly believe you can become the richest man on Earth without having at least average intelligence + common sense. That leaves bad faith IMHO.
