PolyTower, 2015, from my Makerbot era.

Proto-long-form generative experiment 3D printing. Lo-poly meshes converted to wireframes by placing boxes along each edge, generated in batches of 25 at a time. 

Never exhibited, would have needed a 3D printer farm. I've gifted most to artist friends over the years.

That’s the beauty of the sketch/maquette. Rough and ready so we can see and talk about the same thing without fussing over the specifics.

FDM printers do have their quirks. If you print them bigger and with a small layer height you can get them smoother, but I embraced the inevitable defects (hanging loops) from overhanging surfaces. 🫠
