Anyone else experience that 1Password passkeys never seem to work? Getting shoved into tying your crypto to your mobile OS for backup feels like an enshittifying lock-in accelerant.

yes, this is why I’m not a passkey believer (yet?!)

from seeing devs implement passkeys into apps and websites: everyone picks the fastest way to make it work…and then it only works for OS-based passkeys.

passkeys have never worked smoothly for me. or i am (probably) just an incredible noob.
