37 year old Burkina Faso military president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has dismissed the notion that democracy is a prerequisite to development. According to him: “If we have to say it loud and clear here, we are not in a democracy, we are in a popular, progressive revolution. “We must necessarily go through a revolution, and we are indeed in a revolution. So this question of democracy or libertinism of action or expression has no place. As much as you think you are free to speak and act, the other is also free to speak and act, and there we end up with a society of disorder.”“It is impossible to name a country that has developed in democracy. Democracy is only the result,” Traoré said.

"No country has developed under democracy" — Says Burkina Faso President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. 🗣️ To me, regardless of how Democracy has been painted by the West (Europe & America), as the best or near-best form of government, I have always had my reservation when it comes to its impact in Africa. Truth be told, It's clearly not working here. It's more of a 'Safe haven' or 'Shield' for bad leaders.

Today, along Aba/Oweri road, Senia vehicle conveying police men involved in accident.‼️BREAKING: Finally, INEC rejects Petition to recall senator Natasha Akpoti, Says petition failed to meet constitutional requirement. 🗣️I always tell people that politics is all about being proactive and strategically wise. INEC canceled Natasha's recall simply because of the Wide attention Natasha's homecoming drew on Tuesday. She played her card well. She had to show the world how popular and loved she is; thereby making INEC and her enemies look stupid.

Since Saturday, Military helicopters have been hovering in Uromi, Edo State, all in effort to arrest the perpetrators of 16 Fulanis killed last week. Soldiers, police, DSS and civil defense operatives are all on ground making possible arrest. In as much as I commend their swift response, I also tend to know why such response were never taken when over 50 people were killed by fulani herdsmen in Eha Amufu Enugu, 10 in Amagu Ebonyi, 8 in Uromi, 7 in Anambra and 82 in Benue, especially Agatu community? Why is fulani's life always protected more than other Nigerians?

The immediate past Head Of Service who resigned last week, was tricked to come Abuja for a meeting yesterday, only to arrive and was forced by Wike's men inside one room to address the press and to level allegations against Gov Fubara of stealing 15 billion naira, demolishing House Of Assembly and as well planning to blow-up oil pipelines with militants. Now, after this dubious lies, his wife called Gov Fubara and was crying that her husband was threatened to lie against him. That her husband has been missing since then.

Continuing....‘’Now, the president can ask me not to come back here again! So, it has failed. Let’s talk about how we are going to rebuild it. It is collapsing!” Obi also faulted the release of withheld federation allocations to Ibok-Ete Ibas, the sole administrator of Rivers. According to him, "What we are witnessing in Rivers State is a brazen disobedience and disregard for the rule of law and our democratic principles. “The decision to release statutory allocations to an appointed Sole Administrator, despite a standing order of the Supreme Court, is not just unlawful — it is a direct challenge to the authority of the highest court of our country.

Continuing.... FG were begging my house of Assembly not to impeach me. And they were in the PDP and I was in AGPA and they were begging. President Obasanjo was calling and said, Peter, are you okay? Are you safe? ’When I got back from the court, and the court eventually declared me, under Andy Ubah. President Yar’Adua called my phone in London and said congrats. I said I can’t come back, because you know if I come back, these people…but president Yar'dua said, tell me the flight in which you’re coming and I told him. Continuing, Obi said: "I am somebody who can say this, exemplarily. I became a governor through the courts, when President Obasanjo and Atiku were in government. I did not pay the court one naira. I was sitting in my office and the court declared me winner, when a governor was not seeing them. This cannot happen in Nigeria, today. “When I was being impeached, the president sent people to come and intervene on my behalf. Ken Nnamani came, begging the house people not to impeach me. Today, the president impeaches the person. So, that is the thing. It has collapsed. It has failed.👉

"Democracy in Nigeria had begun to collapse."- says Peter Obi. 🗣️💯 Entirely. Main reason I blame these opposition candidates. Apart from El-rufai, every other candidates are vowing 'It Must Be Me in 2027', instead of aligning together to wrestle the soul of Nigeria from this power-drunk Maladministration of Tinubu.

‼️Breaking: Rivers State Head of Service, George Nwaeke resigns. 🗣️I said it earlier that many of Fubara's ally will be made to resign by this so-called administrator. He was actually sent to clear ground for easy sailing of Wike's camp. Next to resign will be the chief judge of the state, then, the most senior judge ll take over as acting chief judge in other to do Wike's bidding, Fubara ll be allowed to come back, house ll reconvene, and boom! Impeachment proceedings will commence against Gov Fubara.

Someone should remind Davido's Uncle, Gov Adeleke that he is next in line. I'm making it clear to everyone now that Gov Adeleke is not going to win his re-election. Yes! He is going nowhere for second term. Tinubu will teach him a lesson. Y'all can Save this and remind me by November.

Rotimi Amechi made a very good comment in his statement which aligned with what I said Ab initio that "I believe governors are trying to sabotage the emergency declaration. According to Rotimi Amechi, he said: "As a former chairman of Nigerian governors forum, I am not 'UNAWARE' of the role elected Governors in the country can play to halt this descent and reverse the unlawful actions of Mr. President." 🗣️ That word "UNAWARE" should make y'all understand my point when I said that I suspect most governors are currently doing unground work against this emergency declaration.

I think the governors are doing underground sabotage to Tinubu's Emergency declaration. They believe that if this is allowed to succeed, it may be turn of any of them tomorrow. I believe they called their state House of representatives members to avoid going to House today. Something is really playing out. Our mumu Senate president, Akpabio is yet to do his abracadabra. We are watching...But one thing is sure: This emergency won't easily be passed. I can sense that.

According to section 305, subsection 6(B) of Nigeria's constitution: if the president declares a state of emergency in a state, the National Assembly has only but two days of being in session to approve it by two-third majority of both chambers (Senate and House Of Reps). Now, see the game: Today's sitting has passed, but House of reps couldn't approve it. Why? Out of 360 members of House Of Reps, only 78 members came to chambers today. (A deliberate act😂). Now, Tinubu has only tomorrow to have his State of Emergency aproved. If they fails tomorrow, or next day of their sitting (making it two times),Gov Fubara will go back as governor.

If Nigeria is a sane country, this Rivers state of emergency is a very good opportunity for Nigerians to start a revolution from Rivers state and then boom! Other states will take part. A very violent protest should have started from Rivers State first thing tomorrow morning before 6AM Mana this country is a shit hole. We miss opportunities to right the wrong.
